Sunny Brook Rabbitry's Barn

We currently have 2 barns for the rabbits, plus 2 outside hutches. This allows us to have 100 holes - with half being for the Mini Lops, and the rest for the French Lops, Red Satins and Netherland Dwarfs!

We will get pictures of the outside hutches soon!

What We Do

We use only Ez Feeders, these are super easy to clean, and they look nice and don't rust! We use 32 oz bottles, and 20 oz crocks are used for water (mainly litters on the crocks plus bottles).

The Mini Lops are fed 1/2 cup - 5/8 cup of 16% Shar Kare feed, it is green, fresh and always available. We've been able to get this feed after only being made 2-3 days before! All the rabbits get orchard grass, or regular 1st cut hay at least 5 days a week.

The French lops and Red Satins are fed anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 cups for the French lops, and 1 to 1 1/2 for the Satins. They all get 2 TBSP of treat mix, and a handful of hay at least every 2nd night.

The Netherland Dwarfs get 1/3 cup of feed per night, and 1/2 tsp of treats. This is adjusted as some need a bit more, and some a bit less. They also are hayed at least 5 days a week.

All the rabbits regardless of breed are kept on a Coccidosis and deworming schedule. Spring and Fall at least for the Coccidosis treatment, and at least that as well for the Deworming. We use Sulfa Methazine 25%, and Panomec Ivermectin/switching with strongiid T.

We make up a conditioning mix, and each rabbit gets a bit of that each night (depending on the breed, and age it varies how much eah one gets!)
